Some seventy years ago, there were only to way to reach the peak of the mountain, by going on foot or horseriding. Not until 1987 that a winding mountain pass was constructed and motorbikes were allowed to circulated on this route. In 20^th century, the French ended up building a military base on the mountain so as to guard and protect the border of Vietnam since the mountain possesses many gateways to China. Intoxicated by the artless view of the site, he petitioned the French governor on expand the site into a tourism attraction and, consequently, economically developed the region. In 1936, the Doctor’s proposal got accepted and he started to commence constructing work at Mau Son Mountain building hundreds of lovely villas from stones on the side of the mountain. Since then, the tourism business of Mau Son Mountain began to thrive.
